Everyone is probably aware that fishing is by far and away
the UK's most popular pastime / sport. More people go fishing every
week than participate in any other sport.
Our very own John Harrison
from Pontefract in Yorkshire won
the Gold medal at the British Transplant Games in Loughborough 2005.
John has kindly donated a shield which will be presented to
the champion fisherman at all British Transplant Games in the future.
The trophy is the "Have a Heart for Angling" shield.
John is pictured in action and (on the right) presenting the shield
to this year's winner in Bath 2006, Dave Eldridge from the Portsmouth team.

Fishing is included in the British Transplant Games every
year and if you would like to take part in Edinburgh in 2007, please get in
touch.
